BMXfeed

BMXfeed has been recognized internationally by print and online publications (including DIG Magazine, ESPN, The Come Up, Defgrip) and is regularly praised for its convenience and usability. The site has also influenced an industry-wide adoption of RSS feeds for delivering content, growing from a handful of sites at launch to nearly 100% participation in less than three years.

BMXfeed features a responsive layout, utilizing media queries to provide a layout optimized for a variety of devices and screen sizes. The site’s design was included in an article by Design Shack, titled 20 Amazing Examples of Using Media Queries for Responsive Web Design.

The news and video aggregator itself is a hand-built PHP application that relies on extensive caching techniques to ensure uptime and fast page loads while residing on a shared web hosting service.
